Biography
I have spent the majority of my life teaching Art in the public schools of Southwest Nebraska. Growing up in Milford, Nebraska I was used to small towns and rural lifestyle. I received a B.A. in Education from the University of Nebraska in 1983, a M.A. in Art Education in 1989 from the University of New Mexico. I have been married to a fellow educator, best friend, and travel buddy (Paula) for 30 years, we have two wonderful adult daughters. We recently retired to Duluth, MN, to be closer to our grandson, and family.
I enjoy working in a realistic style, sometimes a hyperrealistic approach, other times a playful exploration of lines and colors. I am inspired by so many artists, and can pull ideas and approaches from them constantly in my own explorations.
Inspiration is all around us, we just need to slow down and appreciate the little things.
